About

Turkeydinner.net is now five years old.

According to the media, blogs are only about two years old.

One day I was at this blogger meet-up sponsored by KRON, a local independent television station here.
I mainly went there to see friends, but I did end up meeting a few new faces and being accosted by a few people wanting to know what my blog was about.

“Well,” I started to reply to one inquisitor, “it’s called turkeydinner.net and—”

“Oh a Food Blog!” he interrupted. “Mine is also a food blog, have you eaten at…”

“Actually, mine is not a food blog. It’s just clever.”

Perplexed and angered, the large man ambled away and I felt less than adequate in this world of technology already dominated by those with self-esteem problems.

And well, here I am today.

My blog is not really a log of the web. It’s just all about me. Me. Me. Me. Hence all the photos of me, the stuff about me and the use of the word “me” a lot.

So welcome and enjoy and I’ll spare you the usual disclaimers that reading this blog will allow you to actually and truly know me. You will not. I am an enigma. I write semi-fictional accounts of most things because that is the way I think. Also, I’m a much bigger cry baby online than off, or maybe that’s the other way around.

Oh well I guess that was the disclaimer.

End.
